A Christmas Carol

A humble Stable Child

A  humble stable child

Is He the Lord of Lords and King of Kings

A God carried on Angels wings

Then why was He born a humble stable child

Born so fragile meek and mild

Is He the ruler from the hosts on high

Fearsome, powerful, with a throne in the sky

Then why was He born a humble stable child

Born so fragile, meek and mild

Is He the one called Almighty God

Who all silver and gold He could afford

Then why was He born a humble stable child

Born so fragile, meek and mild

Did He come to judge and condemn

A God of anger and hatred for men

Then why was He born a humble stable child

Born so fragile, meek and mild

Did He come to bring fear from above

Or did he come to teach us Love

Is that why He was born a humble stable child

Born fragile, meek and mild

For us who lived without remorse

Did He come with peace instead of sword

Is that why He was born a humble stable child

Born fragile, meek and mild

He came to teach humility and peace

A servant God who loves each one of these

So that’s why He was born a humble stable child

Born fragile, meek and mild

He came to show the human race

How to live a life of love and grace

And so he was he born a humble stable child

And that’s why he was born so fragile, meekand mild…
